WHAT I BEHOLD

Being my authentic self now comes like an unconscious breath
It oxygenates my body to my soul’s depth
I walk with ease, purpose, and grace
Sighing in relief that I no longer wear that false face
The journey to hear has been fraught
But I’m so deeply grateful for all that it taught
Because now I get to be
Whatever the fuck I want of me
Not meant to be arrogant or bold
But now the weights are released and I love what I behold
